This sounds like Gordon Lightfoot.

EricK717 responds:

Yes I like Gordon Lightfoot. His song, If You Could Read My Mind is one of my favorites.

This song definitely hits the mood off good. It reminded alot of "Riders On The Storm" by the Doors. That's good enough for me. The guitar playing is proficient too.

Doumaaa responds:

Thank you very much for the kind words

Reminds me of certain RPG games that I've played. Great composition and arrangement.

SpikeVallentine responds:

Yay.

Nice submission. Sounds a bit like AC/DC and Jimi Hendrix put together. Has characteristics of British Invasion too. Has a good sound to it - the kind late 60's to late 70's sound. I don't think the guitar sounds too "trebly" however, Sawdust is right about it being more of a loop than a song.

Overall, this "loop" has great qualities that when I heard it inspired me to play more classic rock on my guitar. If that's you playing guitar, then I admire your skill.

Thanks for all kind things you said, really happy to read it. It's true, this is kinda ACDC sound which i loved when i first made it, but i like it less now because i really wanna make some unique stuff and not just "steal" sounds around.

This song is quite trippy. Sounds like something you would hear in a sci-fiction movie or videogame. It kind of reminds me of the underground theme from Super Mario Bros at 0:50 - 1:23. I definitely liked it alot. It's amazing what you can do with the help of today's technology. I'm sure this would be difficult to play on guitar but it would be interesting to learn. Good job Scrotaculous, keep creating and uploading your music!

Scrotaculous responds:

Thanks man, I wrote it on the guitar if you want the tabs.

It does sound quite a bit like Pantera, but the intro sounded something of that of Megadeth's. The only quality about this song I don't like is that you heavily processed the guitar sound, making seem like the guitar was croaking like Bon Jovi did on Livin' On A Prayer. Were you using a talk box or did you just edit the sound on your computer?

Burn7 responds:

I have to agree with you on this, I kind of went overboard with the multiple EQ settings on my guitars here. They sound very crunchy and heavy, but also sort of lack life after that much processing.

Thanks for calling me out on this, the only way I'll improve is by having honest criticism. And I have to absolutely agree with this one.

Thanks for checking me out, and thanks for the review! :)

This submission is very interesting.

The melody of the song sounds middle eastern and dark. The song does not convey a happy mood either. It's kind of eerie too. The vocals sound like that of Axel Rose, and the jungle drums fit in quite nice. I love that "tin can" sound that the drums are making in the song. It also sounds like a song that a native american tribe would chant around a tribal ceremony in front of the bonfire.

Just saying...

Wanion responds:

Jesus, you summed my songwriting up beautifully.

The solo feels like Christmas

Hey man this is nice. Your guitar tone is awesome. Would you mind telling me what your amp settings were? It's pretty good for a loop although the solo makes it more of a song. The drum beat was good too, nice and relaxed. The part right before the twinkling Christmas solo reminded me of a Foo Fighters. At the end you proved to get a good Red Hot Chili Peppers sound.
Overall, it was nice. Reminded me of several different bands and their styles all reflected out in you. I've got to check out more of your stuff. 10/10

Thank You. I had to add a bell solo in when I heard how the guitars came out. Thankfully I have a friend that played the bells in HS. As for the sound of the guitars, they are synthesized. I actually got the Vegas Rock idea from a song that played in the background for G4's X-play commerical a year or two ago.

Sweet

This song feels like it should be in a video game. Like a wild west style game etc. It's pretty sweet. Great mixing and over-dubbing.

Japillow responds:

Thanks for the awesome review! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Creative

Not my kind of music, but I must admit this is good. You're guitar playing is unique. The pinch harmonic power chord combo rocks, and the guitar solos were awesome sounding. The only thing I didn't really like about it was the vocals. It's not that you're bad singer, it's probably just because I don't like the way your voice sounds. Doesn't mean I hated the song, I still loved it. Especially your guitar solos. Rock on man.

lebansker0n responds:

Thanks for the review and all, but I'm just curious. I'm not calling only you out, but everyone that does this. Why would you vote on and review a song in a genre you don't even like? That's like going to a steakhouse ordering a steak, and saying it sucks when you are a vegetarian. Also, I am not the singer, but our singer's voice is fucking amazing. What the hell is wrong with you?
